Drifting

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

I sometimes find I’m drifting
Through this life without effect;
I often wonder if I’m truly
Worth what I’ve been blessed.

I search through days that have been hard,
To try to understand,
The many trials that I have known,
The life that I have had.

You see me in my daily grind,
So confident and strong;
Yet when I am alone, I question
Just where I belong.

I often try too hard I find,
To analyze and guess,
To scrutinize, investigate
My life I will confess.

For somewhere deeper, there must be
Some meaning to this life,
Some way to make a difference,
Give a reason for this strife.

Is there some hidden meaning?
Some agenda to be found?
A greater purpose waiting
If I care to hang around?

It teases and it taunts me,
Always slightly out of sight;
A hazy vision out of reach,
Where darkness hides the light.

I struggle to bring clarity
To what awaits me there,
And yet this weak illusion
Always fades before my stare.

It seems the harder that I try,
To focus through the haze,
Just serves to add more questions,
Through my endless, tired gaze.

Perhaps I’m trying just too hard,
To understand it all,
For can we ever truly know
Just what we have in store?

Each incident, each moment passed,
Just adds upon the next,
But in the end, will I find truth …
Or will I be perplexed?

Perhaps I make it harder
Than it has to be sometimes,
But will my searching bring to me
My meaning over time?

Or will it leave me broken,
And confused as I feel now,
While questions bring no solitude,
To this, my wrinkled brow.

If I Were To Die Today

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

If I was to die this hour
Where would I be headed
Would I be going to hell
or would I be going to heaven

Thoughts go through my mind
if there even is a heaven
if God really exists
if I should believe in the Reugrend

But then it occurs to me
That in Jesus Christ I believe
That life would not be complete
Without him guiding me

Jesus is the light
Jesus is free
Jesus is love
He lives within me

Love and Faith

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Your love gives me power,
Beyond my wildest dreams.
I fly on top of the world,
Or, so right now it seems.

You take me in your arms,
And hold me oh so tight.
I’ve never felt such joy,
As laying with you each night.

But somehow I must remember,
To stay strong and stay true.
For although I don’t see it right now,
There is more to life than you.

When I look into your eyes,
I feel safe, I feel love.
But what is all this for,
Without the lord above.

For it is him, and him alone,
That will make me complete.
I must hold onto his love,
Even when your kisses taste so sweet.

There is only one true love,
That a person can always trust.
The love of Jesus Christ,
Goes way beyond mere Lust.

So remember this when the time comes,
For you to take a stand.
The lord will always be there,
When you need someone to hold your hand.

2 Souls

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Two souls set foot upon this earth
Completely unaware of the other.
Two hearts beat an individual lyric
Unfamiliar with the other’s melody.

Two lives evolve within distinctive worlds
unconscious of the spirit of the other.
Call it fate, kismet or circumstance.
Path cross; futures are changed.

Love flourishes; vows are exchanged.
A man and woman become husband and wife.
Two melodies become a symphony,
Two worlds combine; a universe is formed.
Two ones become a pair; two lives encircle each other.
A new life begins.

Why Live & Wallow in the Word?

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Informs, reforms and transforms.
Brings rebirth, renewal and restoration.
Purifies, purges and cleanses the filthy mind
Fortifies and enables you to mind your mind,
as you bind His Word to your mind;
finding His mind, leaving the gutter
and stinking thinking behind.

Brings great changes into your life
As you give it a blank cheque.
It brings divine sunshine,
Creating and recreating the life of God-Zoe.
Shows you who you really are
And what you can be through Him.
Gradually builds a Christ-like character,

Taking you from glory to glory out of the gutter.
Takes you from hopelessness to faith and hopefulness,
Causing you to trust in His loving kindness and faithfulness.

Brings joy unspeakable, incomparable and full of glory.
Breaks the yoke of bondage,
bans the spirit of heaviness
Ignites the power of God, sets you ablaze for God.
Heals your heart, body, emotions and negative feelings,
Enabling you to give thanks and praise in everything.
Launches you on the path of great transformation.
Gives you missiles and wisdom you need to defeat the Devil.
Gives you discernment of the adversary, how to overcome evil.
Equips you to deal with the adversities of life till you overcome.;
Staying through and true, occupying till He comes.
Banishing and extinguishing the fear of the devil or of man.
Prepares you to live your life according to His divine plan.

May sound ridiculous but births the miraculous.
Gives you divine direction for your destination.
Gives you an assurance of the future, forever.
Reveals the integrity, reliability and immutability of God.
Reveals God’s ability in you, imparts the divine nature of creativity.
Makes you very strong, gives you great multifaceted songs for long.
Opens your eyes to see the wrong and gives you the courage to right the wrong.
Sheds the glorious, radiant light for you to see the glory of God,
Behold Him in His beauty, splendour, awe and wonder.
Sweeter than the honey in the honey comb,
More precious than silver, gold or diamond,
More powerful and potent than a nuclear bomb.
Makes you a tree planted by the rivers of water
That yields fruits in it’s season.

Makes you prosper in whatever you do,
And have God success and good success,
Rather than just goods success.
Brings might, light and enlightenment.
Brings clarity integrity, humility, and generosity,
Diligence, excellence, patience, and endurance.
Brings correction, discipline, sound teaching,
Pruning, reproof, instruction in righteousness
Unleashes unfailing love, boundless joy, great peace,
Understanding, discretion, decisiveness
Fruitfulness, faithfulness gentleness, godliness, goodness
Brotherliness, loveliness, kindness, truthfulness
Banishes barrenness, brings brokenness, openness, holiness
Orders your step, revives; keeping it brings great reward.

Need I say more?

What is the purpose of LIFe?

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Some people might ask,
What is the purpose of life?
Most of you know it is a difficult task,
Spending your life in a world of strife;
Is it to inflict pain?
Or to gather fame?
Being a terrorist making others insane,
Or to do a deed which would result in shame;
To follow the golden rules of God,
Explained by the Prophets and the pious,
To preach without the use of sword,
To make the evil, good and righteous;
Have you ever felt the grief of others?
With emotions which touch your soul,
As if they were your sisters and brothers,
And you seem to feel their toll;
Then let me assure you my brothers and sisters,
That you have achieved the purpose of life,
Which is to live your life for others,
And feel the pain of those in strife.

i WANT TO get away from LOVE

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

I want to get away from love…..
It shouldn’t have its mark.
I want to get away from love, , ,
As far as stars.
Love has thorn on its path; it gives lot of pain,
Then why shall I walk on it, why shall I join the same chain.
I can’t trust & don’t want to listen to him,
Why will I do it when I know it’s a sin.
Love is blind, but I can see,
There are many people who wants to get free.
I’m not that strong; I know I’ll fall,
I can’t see my heart into pieces & still be standing tall.
Love has lot of space; it needs lot of understanding,
I can’t take risk of,
my life that there wouldn’t be any misunderstanding.
I don’t want to stare the stars & don’t want to spoil the nights,
I’ll have a smooth sleep, to receive the morning sunlight.
Love has lot of tension; eyes are wet with tears,
I’ll not get worried, when I don’t have anyone so much dear.
I don’t want to get upset, I don’t want to cry,
I really don’t believe in love, I don’t want to try.
Love has so many negative points; still it is the BEST,
Fine then let me give it a try, & let GOD handle the rest.

U DUN KNOW ME

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

In my heart
Theres only you
I’m reminded of the past
When I don’t feel your love
Your kiss could mean
My end to sadness
When you stay away
I feel the loneliness
I guess if you don’t love me
You don’t know me
In my heart
Theres only you
But, I still love you
Even if you don’t know me
Please reach down and find
Everything that I said to you
In my heart
Theres only you
In your heart
You don’t know me.

Work! Work! And Reap!

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Work! Work! Work! And Reap!
Work! Work! Work! And Sleep!

Everyday most of we work
Some of us love to work
Some of us just want to rock
Some of us want to lie on a beach or take a walk
If we had our way, we could spend all day and talk

But work we all must
Or our lifestyles will go bust!
We may then have to readjust
To unacceptable standards of living in disgust

Work! Work! Work! And Reap!
Work! Work! Work! And Sleep!

We all have different professions
Some of us have silent confessions
We fancy someone at work with an obsession
Work is then fun with a passion until confusion

Work! Work! Work! And Reap!
Work! Work! Work! And Sleep!

There are jobs that are monotonous
The atmosphere is negatively outrageous
Nothing in the air signifies hilarious
Every single person is always very serious

Sometimes played at work
Is the kind of politics
That makes one quite sick
This is where the strong kick
Kick hardest the backside of the weak

But work we all must
Or our lifestyles will go bust!
As we find ourselves lost
And then try hard to readjust

So do we swallow?
Or is fighting back shallow
Will it leave in your pocket a dent that is hollow?
Or produce a scene labeled horror
Enough to leave you in tears of sorrow

I don’t have all the answers
I know work is a living cancer
People at work ought to be a little nicer
Everyone needs to make a living including a dancer!

The nagging women of the world

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Nag, Nag, Nag
They nag about the money
They nag about sex
They nag about it all
From simple to complex

The nagging women of the world!

Before the plane takes off
They nag about jetlag
Suggesting the holiday
Will only be a drag

They nag about the food
Whether it is bad or good

They nag about fingernails
And overcrowded jails

They nag about the music
Without comprehending the lyrics

They nag about people dressed in rags
And chosen colours of a country’s flag

The nagging women of the world!

They nag about cleanliness
Forgetting the word gentleness

They nag at you if you snore
Or if they think you are a bore

They nag at you if you are late
Refusing you food on the plate

They nag about the polluted air
As if they really care

I shall never understand
Those men called husbands
That put up with these women
The nagging women of the world!
